Starting thread: Rates for rope modeling NYC
I've recently started rope modeling for shibari practitioners in NYC and I'm trying to figure out what fair compensation looks like. I've done a few sessions now but honestly have no baseline for what's considered standard in this community. Does anyone know what rope models typically receive here? I'm also curious whether there's usually a distinction between casual practice ties where someone is still learning versus more structured situations like workshop demonstrations or photography sessions. And does experience level as a model factor into compensation much? Just want to make sure I have realistic expectations and understand what my time and participation are worth without either selling myself short or accidentally asking for something unreasonable. Any insight from others in the NYC bondage scene would be really helpful.
